Mallorca has over 16 top quality golf courses. The closest ones to Cala Millor and Cala Bona are at Son Servera, Pula, Capdepera and Canyamel. The furthest course is just 15 minutes drive away.

Son Servera opened in 1967 and is the second oldest golf course in Mallorca. It’s very popular with the British, and has a large number of British members. The club is renowned for its friendly post-round atmosphere in the club house.

The course itself can be quite challenging. It has nine holes and demands accuracy because most of the fairways are very narrow and lined with trees.

Pula Golf is another popular course. It has been around since 1995 and has become one of Mallorca’s most exclusive courses. The green fees reflect this too.

Although it’s only a new course, some very prestigious tournaments have been held here. You’ll often see top names from the world of sport and entertainment on Pula Golf. Even the king eats here. The exclusive Restaurant S’Era de Pula is frequented by Juan Carlos when he’s in Mallorca.

It’s a flat course with spectacular views to both the mountains and the sea.

Capdepera is probably the most scenic course on the island. The views are amazing, especially the ones from the 15th tee. The course was opened in 1991. It was originally a flat nine hole course but then another nine holes were added in an area which rises up into the Arta Mountains. The second half of the course contrasts dramatically with the first flat nine holes.

Roca Viva (the course restaurant) is worth a trip even if your not a golfer..

Canyamel can be quite a challenge. It’s set in a beautiful natural valley and at 6000 metres it offers a real test of your golfing ability. Like most other courses on the island, it spectacular views out over the Mediterranea sea. You can see all the way to Menorca from the 5th tee.

The course has many natural stone walls left intact. Right in the middle of the 9th fairway, there’s an old stone cottage.
